Can you oversee and optimise all aspects of end-to-end product development ?
As Cosmetics Category Buyer, you will procure primary packaging and contract manufacturing services, to deliver high quality products that delight the consumers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal sourcing decisions that support company growth, innovation and sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities :
– Strategically source and purchase packaging materials and contract manufacturing services, meeting quality, timing, cost and sustainability requirements
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure optimal sourcing solutions
– Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluations
– Develop and execute cost-saving initiatives throughout the product development process
– Create strategic category business plans to support company growth objectives
– Continuously evaluate and address potential challenges in stakeholder management and cost savings
– Contribute to the company’s innovation process by providing early procurement and sourcing input
– Maintain expertise in packaging materials, particularly plastics, glass, aluminium, and wood
Candidate Requirements :
– Degree or equivalent in purchasing, business admin, retail management or a related field
– Thorough understanding of the end-to-end development process for cosmetic products
– Demonstrable success within procurement, ideally within cosmetics or a related industry, and knowledge of packaging and contract manufacturing
– Great negotiation skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders
– Fluent verbal and written English ; a second language is a plus
