This year, from September 30 to October 2, at Luxe Pack Monaco, Procos has chosen to push its innovation a little further towards the creation of prestige packaging that are also environmental-friendly. The German supplier of cardboard packaging solutions has unveiled a new generation of its Yoga box: the Sunshine Box and its lighter version, the Sunshine Light Box.
High-end mono-material closure system
Created in 2020, the Yoga Box and its Yoga Light version are characterized by an eco-responsible approach based on, among other things, lightness and material economy. Both are made of cardboard: grey cardboard for the Yoga Box and lighter corrugated cardboard for the Yoga Light. In pursuit of a mono-material packaging solution, Procos then replaced the magnetic closure with a paper tab.
For its 2024 version, with the new Sunshine Box variant, Procos optimized the mono-material closure system for even smoother and easier handling, and a more elegant design, with the closure system being completely invisible from the outside. The new patented closure system consists of a cleverly designed notch on the front wall inside the box, combined with a bevel button that fits onto it.
Finally, the 2024 Sunshine Box and its light version includes a tray serving as a product holder, secured by two Tencel® ribbons.
“The challenge of our 2024 edition Sunshine Box and Sunshine Light Box was creating a ’magnet effect’ closure without a magnet. Our teams had to devise an innovative cardboard attachment system that is effective, durable, intuitive, and sensory. We could have stuck with the previous arrangement, but we were convinced we could perfect it. That’s one of Procos’ strengths: constantly seeking improvement and pushing our quality standards further," said Stéphanie Havard, Chief Operating Officer at Procos.
And to highlight this additional optimization, the Sunshine Box and the Sunshine Light Box have been given a colourful design, 100% customizable of course, just like the dimensions of the box!
