Grupo Boticário continues its international development and launches its O Boticário brand in Uruguay.

The Brazilian beauty giant opened the brand’s first two kiosks in the capital Montevideo last May, in the Tres Cruces and Costa Urbana shopping malls. A new unit is planned to open soon in the Montevideo Shopping mall. Overall, the group plans to open eight O Boticário points of sale in the country. The others will be located in Maldonado and Canelones in partnership with pharmacy chain Farmashop.

O Boticário is present in seven other Latin American countries. In addition to Uruguay and Brazil, the brand’s products are already available in Bolivia, Colombia, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Suriname and Venezuela.

The Boticário group has high hopes for the Uruguayan market. “We know the level of demand of the Uruguayan consumer in terms of quality, sustainability and innovation and we are sure that the O Boticário brand will positively surprise them,” explains Evelise Corrêa, Latam Business Manager of Grupo Boticário.

The brand began its international development in 1987, with its entry into Portugal. Today, O Boticário is also present in the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Japan.

Grupo Boticário also relies on several of its other brands — including Quem Disse, Berenice? and Truss — to expand its global presence. Not counting, of course, sales made via its e-commerce site.
