Ileos, a leading supplier of packaging to the fragrance, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industry, announced the acquisition of Biopack, a French manufacturer of fragrance samples (sprays and small bottles).
In taking this step Ileos is seeking to reinforce its Socoplan division, which specialised in the field of samples and unitdoses. The combined structure will generate a consolidated Tturnover of EUR 73 million.
“Customers will be able to benefit from the largest and most creative range of products in the market, covering monodoses, samples and full services for fragrances and cosmetics,” Ileos says in a release.
Maxime D’Haussy, previously Sales & Marketing Director Europe at Socoplan, will take over as Chief Operating Officer at Biopack. Stéphane Frémiot, previously Sales Director at Biopack, now, will be Sales and Marketing Director Europe for the new group. Both will report to Ludovic Anceau, CEO of Socoplan.
Bernard and Eric Simon, the founders of Biopack and previously President and General Manager respectively, will work with the new management team until the end 2009 to help optimize integration.
