The perfume composition company has announced the launch of ScentChat App, a new AI-powered research tool, designed to enhance the fragrance creation process with the addition of real-time consumer feedback.

ScentChat App is an instant messaging application coupled with qualitative insights. It connects directly with leading messaging platforms to create a virtual bridge between International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) creatives and consumers, allowing.

Concretely speaking, the app allows specific participants in a consumer research to interact with perfumers using already familiar messaging apps, unlocking co-creation opportunities. The app takes the feedback and leverages IFF’s proprietary semantic and NLP AI algorithms to analyze inputs and instantly generate insight reports from which formulators can make informed decisions about ingredients and many other factors.

According to IFF, this process alone, can remove many barriers typically associated with consumer research. The app offers an additional benefit by fostering a legitimate sense of community and collaboration with fragrance creators.
