CPL Aromas has signed an agreement to purchase the fragrance business of Aromatic Flavours and Fragrances (AFF), along with the export fragrance business managed by the UK division.
Upon completion the management of all current AFF fragrance customers will be transferred to CPL Aromas UK Sales Division in Hertfordshire, supported by CPL’s UK manufacturing facilities in Northamptonshire and Dubai.
“CPL Aromas holds a strong position in the UK and Middle Eastern fragrance markets and this acquisition affirms its commitment to both regions. The acquisition will also provide current AFF customers with access to CPL Aromas’ technologies, creative perfumery work across all product categories, outstanding customer service, fully automated manufacturing and strong regulatory support,” states the UK-based international fragrance house.
Commenting on the acquisition, CPL Aromas’ Chief Executive Officer Chris Pickthall remarked, “CPL, like AFF, has its roots in the UK and strong sales in Dubai. We are excited to be able to offer our new AFF customers the benefits of CPL’s global perfumery team and fantastic R&D technologies”.
With annual sales in excess of £100 million and 600 employees CPL Aromas is dedicated only to the development and manufacture of fragrances. Founded in 1971 by the Pickthall family CPL Aromas remains 100% family owned.
