The jury has made its choice! The winners of the 2024 edition of the Luxe Pack in green awards in Monaco are Technicaps, in the “Eco-conceived packaging solutions” category, and Carbios, in the “CSR Initiative” category.
The jury initially selected seven finalists from a total of 58 applicants. The nominees then pitched their submission during the Luxe Pack Monaco show before the panel of experts selected the winners.
Technicaps won in the award of the best eco-conceived packaging solution, for Re-Feel, a new solution for a refillable skincare jar with fully recyclable materials, including a plastic-free refill cup made of cellulose. For this project, Technicaps teamed up with Groupe Pochet and Cilkoa. The product is 100% made in France.
The jar was produced by Pochet du Courval and contains 15% PCR. Its weight has been reduced while maintaining same resistance and quality of a standard jar.
The refill cup produced by Technicaps is entirely made of cellulose sourced from sustainably managed forests and certified by PEFC and FSC. It is enhanced with a very innovative barrier treatment from CILKOA with no plastic liner, which ensures good compatibility with oily and watery bulk.
For their part, Carbios was awarded for their biorecycling plant project, designed to achieve full circularity for PET.
