For its debut at in-cosmetics Global in Amsterdam, Vollmens Fragrances Ltda. Has chosen to put the spotlights on Voll Caps Care, an eco-friendly microencapsulation technology for fragrances in personal care products.
Based on an environmentally friendly polymer system that does not interfere with fragrance performance, the Voll Caps Care technology is, according to Vollmens, ideal for leave-in hair care formulas.
Dermatologically tested, Voll Caps Care protects fragrance against oxidation and evaporation and enhances fragrance performance for a long-lasting effect (up to 24 hours).
The long lasting effect was assessed in lab tests. Fragrance micro-encapsulated with the Voll Caps Care technology was incorporated in a hair leave-in base spread on natural hair strands. These strands were periodically combed and assessed every three hours on day 1, then after 24 hours, and after 7 days.
Results confirmed that the Voll Caps Care microcapsules have maintained the fragrance intensity, even 24 hours after the start of the test. After 7 days, the fragrance was still present and released upon microcapsule rupture, providing greater intensity and durability compared to free fragrance.
