This nomination follows the acquisition, announced on January 2, of Ileos (Nord-Est) by Oaktree Capital Management. Pierre Hémar will work with a streamlined management team. His mission will be to reinforce innovation and pursue the development of sales and industrial initiatives at Ileos group. In 2010, Oaktree’s French affiliate finalised the acquisitions of SGD, a French specialist of glass containers for perfumes and cosmetics.

Pierre Hémar, Ileos

Pierre Hémar has managed a number of companies in the luxury-goods and cosmetics packaging sectors. “He will bring his industry and client expertise in addition to his successful track record as a manager of companies that have seen strong growth,” comments Ileos in a release.

Pierre Hémar will have the support of Oaktree’s industrial expertise (as SGD shareholder) to establish collaborations with the glass sector to benefit the group’s clients,” the group adds.

Ileos will be reorganised into 2 divisions: Ileos Beauty, which includes Axilone and Bioplan and will be managed by Ludovic Anceau, and Ileos Graphic, comprised of Alliora and Packetis, to be headed up by Philippe Declerck. With facilities in Europe, America and Asia, the group employs more than 4,000 people, half of which are in France and has a turnover of 325 million euros in 2011.
