“Pansticks are for foundation, right? Wrong! With their easy twist-and-use functionality, pansticks are becoming increasingly popular for make-up, suncare, babycare and other OTC products,” says Quadpack, supplier of packaging solutions for the cosmetics and perfumery industries.
Besides concealer and foundation, pansticks can also be used for a host of applications, such as eye shadow, blusher, primer, SPF face care, insect repellent, insect bite relief and nappy rash ointment. As many of these formulas are water-based, it is important that the panstick used is airtight to prevent them from drying out once opened. Quadpack therefore proposes fully sealed pansticks to keep the product moist throughout its use.
The range comes in a range of materials and can be decorated to suit any brand, using colour matching, metallising, silk screening, hot stamping and water transfer techniques. Aluminium cladding can also be applied.
“Quadpack offers colour matching at an MOQ of just 25K, allowing various colours with one type of stick. To simplify production, the pansticks can be top- or bottom-filled depending on the formula requirement. The standard pack is 10g. A 4g version is also available for sampling – ideal for promotions, seasonal offers and miniature multipacks,” adds the company.
