Chanel just announced the arrival of Olivier Polge as Perfumer in the Chanel Fragrance Laboratory.

As Perfumer at IFF since 1998, Olivier Polge has developed fragrances for a number of leading luxury brands and houses, and several of his creations have been internationally successful. He was awarded the “Prix International du Parfum” in 2009.

Olivier Polge will arrive at Chanel in September to work alongside Christopher Sheldrake and Jacques Polge, his father, to whom he will succeed as Creator of Chanel Fragrances.

Christopher Sheldrake has been Director of Research and Development at the Chanel Fragrance Laboratory since 2005. He will carry on his role, continuing to work as a creative tandem with Jacques, and then Olivier Polge.
