With an average 30% of the references of a brand being renewed each year, the make-up market is probably the one requiring the highest innovation rate within the beauty industry. So, it is rather logical if the organizers of MakeUp in Paris chose to put innovation at the heart of the third edition of the show dedicated to the makeup industry.

Innovation Awards

Thus, more than more than thirty innovations have been submitted to a jury which was in charge of identifying the list of final nominees in each of the four categories - full service, packaging, formula, accessories, samples - that will receive a MakeUp in Paris Innovation Award.

All the selected products will be then showcased in « L’Espace des Innovations » (innovation Area) of MakeUp in Paris 2012. Main originality of this last step: it will be the visitors who will chose among the finalists to single out one product per category. The votes will be displayed on the main screen in real time and the awards will be remitted to the winners during the evening.

Makeup animations

For the third consecutive year MakeUp in Paris will invite exhibitors, make-up schools and make-up artists to express themselves through make-up demonstrations.

On the initiative of exhibitors, nearly a dozen demonstrations are planned, with the participation of renowned make-up artists like Michele Burke and Céleste Duquesne.

Four make-up schools will collaborate to two make-up poles; Tannaz Studio from Switzerland, the Make Up For Ever Academy, the Atelier International de Maquillage and for the first time since it was created, MakeUp in Paris will invite So Nails Academy, an academy for future nail stylists, who will perform on Friday, June 22 at 02:00 pm some spectacular demonstrations.

Supporting the CEW

Partnering, as of its first edition, with the CEW (Cosmetics Executive Women) France and its Beauty Centres, MakeUp in Paris will propose this year to buy pins bearing the colours of the show, to the benefit of "Les Centres de Beauté de CEW France".

On Friday, the 22th of June, 9:00 am the CEW France will also propose a conference entitled “The power of nails!” This event, upon reservation with the CEW France (www.cew.asso.fr), will be preceded by a breakfast.

Conferences

MakeUp in Paris will feature a program of 23 conferences with a large part of them focusing on beauty trends.

In the end, with a record number of exhibitors and an enhanced program, all indicators are on the rise for the next edition of MakeUp in Paris.
