After having initially chosen a new venue in Brooklyn, the MakeUp in New York tradeshow will finally return to Chelsea’s Center 548, in the heart of Manhattan, on 7 and 8 September next.
“Having chosen Brooklyn, which was a good choice, was a lot due to the fact it was difficult to find a venue that would be large enough to host more exhibitors. Moreover, you also know that finding an attractive and big enough place in Manhattan is a tremendous challenge,” explains Jean-Yves Bourgeois, the show organiser.
Eventually, the come back of the show to Center 548 in Manhattan was made possible by the addition of 400 square meters (4,300 sq.ft.) of new exhibition area after two art galleries had moved out of the place.
According to the organisers, Center 548 which hosted the 2013 and 2014 editions of MakeUp in New York, also has other assets: it is located in an increasingly trendy area of Manhattan, where L’Oréal will inaugurate its new US headquarters next June. By a happy coincidence, L’Oréal will be a partner in this next edition.
“This sixth edition of MakeUp in NewYork will be the 19th edition of the MakeUp in... shows since the creation of MakeUp in Paris in 2010... And 70,000 people will have visited our events during these seven years,” concludes Jean-Yves Bourgeois.
