Feelunique, Europe’s leading online beauty retailer, has acquired The Beautyst, a leading French online beauty community and marketplace. In the wake of the opening of four beauty shops and a hairdressing salon in Paris and in its urban area, Feelunique strengthens its position in France.

The acquisition of The Beautyst further accelerates our vision of becoming the leading player in online beauty in France, which is a strategically important market to us given its currently low online penetration. This acquisition will also strengthen our position amongst Millennials, a key audience for us,” said Joel Palix, CEO of Feelunique.

As a first step in the transition, The Beautyst will be renamed “The Beautyst by Feelunique”.

The Beautyst has one of the most established online beauty communities in France, offering trendy beauty brands through its online marketplace. It is also one of the largest beauty communities in France (more than 1,300 bloggers and over 600,000 followers across its social networks).

Feelunique offers the biggest choice of beauty products in Europe, with 450 brands and more than 20,000 products across makeup, beauty, perfume, accessories and electricals.

According to Feelunique, the combination of the two sites will create a platform through which to communicate with the combined customer base.

As a first step in the transition, The Beautyst will be renamed “The Beautyst by Feelunique”.
