Spotlight on ingredients at AsiaWorld-Expo

Six halls at the AsiaWorld-Expo will host the presentation of raw materials, machinery, packaging, contract manufacturing and private label.

With Spotlight on Ingredients, raw materials will be showcased for the first time at Cosmoprof Asia, thus completing the presentation of the entire industry chain.

Hall 5 of the new venue will present The Lipstick Factory to take visitors on a journey on the making of a luxury lipstick, from the meticulous search for raw materials, right up to the mixing and production. 8,000 complimentary lipstick pieces produced by this temporary unit will be presented to visitors during the three days of the show. The Lipstick Factory involves three Italian exhibitors: Brivaplast (packaging), Chromavis Fareva (formulation) and Vetraco (machinery). The project is supported by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and ITA - Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia, the Italian personal care trade association.

The new venue will also host the first edition of Innovation Circle Awards curated by the trends agency Beautystreams. The Awards recognize the most innovative packaging, design and formula in the beauty industry across six award categories. Products by the 24 finalists, picked by a jury of top industry professionals including representatives from AmorePacific, Centdegrés, L’Oréal, Marie Dalgar, Martha Tillar Companies and NYX Cosmetics, will be displayed in the East Lobby of AsiaWorld-Expo from 15-17 November. The winners will be announced during the Awards Ceremony on 15 November 2016.

The Extraordinary Gallery reaches Asia

While most of the supply chain has been relocated at AsiaWorld-Expo, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre will focus on finish products with level 1 dedicated to cosmetics and perfumery, level 3 to professional beauty products and level 5 to host the hair and nail sectors.

New this year, the Extraordinary Gallery is launched in Asia. The area dedicated to high end products will be located in Hall 3G of level 3. On this occasion, creative agency Centdegrés has constructed a designer suite encompassing a dedicated buyers lounge, press corner, bloggers station as well as a conference room. An interactive experience at the heart of the hall involves visitors being presented with a special edition of nail polish in three unique colours and textures jointly created by Centdegrés (design), Groupe Pochet (glass), Fiabila (nail varnish) and Beautystreams (trends forecasting agency).

Close to the Extraordinary Gallery, the Discover Trends area will feature more than 80 companies with their latest offerings in Baby Skincare & Toiletries, Men’s Care, as well as Natural & Organic Cosmetic.
