Initially scheduled at the end of August, the next editions of Cosme Tech and Cosme Tokyo will eventually take place on October 20-22, 2014 at the Tokyo Big Sight.
Furthermore, the organisers have relocated the event to East halls 4 and 5, thus doubling the exhibition space. “Due to the huge success of the previous edition, the originally prepared booth space has been almost sold out, and we had huge concern to turn down exhibiting requests from over 100 companies. By doubling the show space, we can continuously accept exhibiting requests,” said a spokesperson at reed Exhibition Japan.
In 2013, Cosme Tech, the show dedicated to suppliers of the cosmetics industry, hosted 210 exhibitors, and Cosme Tokyo, the show dedicated to finished products, hosted 150 exhibitors. Reed expects these figures to double with 400 exhibitors for Cosme Tech and 320 exhibitors for Cosme Tokyo in 2014. Simultaneously, the 30,000 visitors are expected in 2014, compared to 20,638 in 2013.
Eventually, in response to demands from international exhibitors, and “ever-growing demands for overseas cosmetics from Japanese importers and buyers” a dedicated International Area will be launched inside Cosme Tokyo.
