Clariant is adapting its Personal Care business operating model in the United States West Coast to seamlessly bring its ingredients to this fast-paced, entrepreneurial market. The company is expanding its direct-to-customer sales approach and is incorporating a regional supply chain to directly support this market.

The specialty chemicals supplier explains this new model will provide its West Coast customers with direct access to all of its technologies, regional technical and marketing support, and local warehousing.

Pursuant to the new organization, Clariant has appointed Brittney Strickland as its primary account manager serving the West Coast market. She comes to Clariant with more than 7 years’ experience working in the Personal Care industry for both a leading global raw material supplier and distributor. During her tenure in the industry, she developed and implemented business strategies, developed new markets, and managed customer projects to deliver growth. Strickland received her B.S. degree from The Ohio State University and currently is working on an MBA degree at Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Business. She is an active member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and Beauty Industry West.

Clariant is excited to expand our reach in the West Coast market. It is a market that captures the imaginative and inventive spirit of the Personal Care industry so well,” said Edson Barros, Clariant Personal Care Business Manager. “Our formulation know-how, coupled with tools such as Beauty Forward®, bring real innovation and delight to our customers as they develop new trends and concepts in this important personal care market.
