A brilliant illustration of the trend combining makeup and skincare, the Aquastick range from Pascual Cosmétiques was unveiled to visitors at the MakeUp in Paris show on May 29 and 30, 2024. Launched in preview at MakeUp in Los Angeles a few months earlier, the Aquastick Sheer Foundation had already been noticed and nominated for an award on this occasion.

Water and natural ingredients

Formulated with more than 40% floral, fruity, thermal or glacial waters, the Aquastick range rides the skinification trend in beauty, which consists in introducing skincare benefits into most beauty product categories, including makeup.

Indeed, “achieving a perfect, healthy-looking complexion by using cosmetic products that combine skin care and make-up benefits is one of the main expectations and concerns of beauty consumers today,” underlines the company, which is part of the Anjac Health & Beauty group.

As far as brands are concerned, the main challenge is therefore to offer always more natural formulations, without compromising on effectiveness.

Made up of at least 94% ingredients of natural origin, Aquastick is a wax emulsion offering an instant fresh effect and a good dose of hydration, while leaving a subtle coloured veil on the skin.

A comprehensive face makeup line

In the foundation version, Aquastick evens out the complexion while moisturizing the skin, thanks to a minimalist formula made of only nine ingredients, 99% of which are of natural origin. Aquastick is also available as a concealer to reduce dark circles and fine lines thanks to its composition enriched with illuminating and lifting peptides and other active ingredients.

The Aquastick Primer, meanwhile, prepares the skin for long-lasting makeup. The formulation includes aloe vera juice and hyaluronic acid.

Aquastick Blush is infused with raspberry seed oil and glacier water providing hydrating and soothing properties while reviving cheekbones.

Finally, the Aquastick Bronzer provides a warmer and bolder complexion thanks to a series of golden and highly luminous pigments. It is enriched with organic coconut oil and contains 44% active water.

Aquastick technology is also available from Aircos, the other makeup entity of the Anjac Health & Beauty group.
