It is a particularly versatile industrial site which has just celebrated its 60th anniversary! With more than 250 staffs, Aptar Beauty’s plant in Verneuil, in Normandy, France has both molding (approximately 1.7 billion molded parts are produced by over 40 injection molding machines) and assembly capacities, along with filling and fragrance application machines.
New investments
The site benefited from new investments that have enhanced its operational capabilities: strengthening of R&D functions for airless and fragrance prestige innovations, including the development of Nomad Refill, the first refillable purse spray that can be refilled directly from a perfume (launched in January 2025); addition of new machines, including an additional filling line and the site’s first electric molding presses.
The Verneuil site will operate a molding workshop fully equipped with electric presses, operational by 2030. This will significantly reduce the site’s energy consumption, as electric presses consume approximately 25% less energy than hydraulic ones.
Filling and full service
The site also plays a key role in Aptar Beauty’s full-service offering, by manufacturing and delivering turnkey solutions from production to final product.
The Easy Spray miniature fragrance packaging, for example, is a best-seller among beauty brands. This sampling solution is designed, assembled, filled, and secured on a card by the Verneuil teams, offering a seamless, one-stop service to customers.
The site also manages the production of the iD Scent range — an innovative paper-based fragrance sampling solution that is recyclable thanks to its mono-material paper composition.
“Thanks to the expertise and agility of our teams, the Verneuil-d’Avre-et-d’Iton site will continue to reinvent itself to adapt to emerging market trends and deliver the best of French manufacturing to our customers,” highlights Cyril Chevalier, Operations Director, Aptar Verneuil d’Avre et d’Iton.
Normandy platform
The Verneuil factory is integrated into what Aptar Beauty calls its “Normandy platform,” which also includes two other sites: Aptar Le Neubourg, dedicated to molding and assembling dispensing systems for the premium luxury fragrance and cosmetics markets; and Aptar Charleval, which specializes in molding, assembling, and decorating mini packaging and airless products.
These industrial hubs, located less than 100 kilometers from each other, operate in synergy, occasionally sharing teams and capacities.
“Within five years, Aptar’s Normandy platform aims to become a global benchmark for our prestige fragrance and cosmetics clients in terms of innovation, quality, and service,” states Jean-Noël Coninx, Normandy Operations Director, Aptar Beauty.
