William G. Koeberlé

William G. Koeberlé, current President of the French Federation of Selective Perfumery (FFPS) [1], whose term was renewed March 12th, was appointed President of the European Federation of Perfume Retailers (Fédération européenne des parfumeurs détaillants or FEPD) [2], succeeding Robert Leygues. He will serve both roles simultaneously.

The FEPD represents 21 EU countries in the field of perfume and cosmetics retail distribution.

The top priority of William G. Koeberlé’s double presidency is the modernization of selective distribution agreements in order to shift the luxury goods landscape towards the digital, notably by taking into account digital standards as defined by customer experience. Clarifying the duties and obligations of parties to distribution contracts and ensuring the neutrality of audits are also at the core of the action plan that W. G. Koeberlé wishes to initiate for the FEPD as well as for the FFPS. The modernization of training systems is another important focus of this term. According to W.G. Koberlé, training will provide maintenance and development leverage for in-store employment, for which the sector offers numerous opportunities in both France and Europe. This transformation will occur notably through the incorporation of digital aspects into protocol, the formalization of training procedures, defining diploma equivalences and favouring apprenticeships, work-study programs and especially return to employment.
