The second consumer choice awards in London: #beauty20, took place at the Bulgari Hotel on 6th October at the Innocos Digital event where beauty executives shared speeches. Jennifer Tidy from Modiface shared a presentation on augmented reality, Torsten Sollitzer spoke on the rise of the messaging and one to one marketing, whilst Tamara Gillan from Cherry London discussed beauty brand and blogger collaborations.
The #beauty20 Awards were created to benchmark the companies who are the most successful in connecting with consumers through digital technology and social media.
The Innocos team selected 10 of the most popular digital marketing platforms as categories of the awards and over 300 award entries were received. With much deliberation and critical review, a team of judges (beauty bloggers), selected the top five brands from each of the 10 categories. After collecting the results, Innocos gave consumers 20 days to vote for their favourite beauty brand online. Over 7.000 votes were received and below are the results with the winners:
– Best Twitter: Feelunique
– Best Facebook: Nu Skin UK and Ireland
– Best Pinterest: Benefit Cosmetics UK
– Best Instagram: Soap & Glory
– Best Youtube: Charlotte Tilbury
– Best App: L’Oréal
– Best eCommerce Website: Burberry Beauty
– Best Snapchat: Rimmel London
– Best Beauty Startup: Blusho
– Best Beauty Brand Online: Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals
Bare Minerals UK is a big winner in the category ‘Best Beauty Brand Online’ which encompasses all social media channels including brand website. “Bare Minerals by Bare Excentuals describes themselves as a brand that is based on a feeling. Love, Understanding and Community are the three pillars representing Bare Escentuals and it translates as it received the highest number of custom votes at the #beauty20 awards in London this year,” commented Innocos.
The winners, in addition to recognition from their customers, received a custom made trophy in the shape of the letter C to symbolise Customer, Consumer or Care.
