The Cosmopack International Business Forum & Exhibition held its third edition on May 11th and 12th, at the Spring Studios in Manhattan, New York.

Supported by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the event offered to the Made in Italy beauty industry a unique opportunity to meet American retailers and brands. The event also benefited from the collaboration of Cosmetica Italia (the Italian personal care association), Polo Tecnologico della Cosmesi, and from the partnership with ICMAD and CEW.

The third edition of Cosmopack International Business Forum & Exhibition allows us to promote the Italian supply chain in the East Coast as well, together with Europe, Asia with Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong and the west coast, thanks to Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas,” says Dino Tavazzi, Chief Executive Officer of BolognaFiere Cosmoprof Spa.

According to the organizers, about 30 companies specialized in raw materials, machinery, packaging and formulation came to New York to take advantage of B2B meetings, workshops and seminars organised within the event. “We also proposed a focus on the latest trends and news proposed by international make-up artists, trend agencies and key opinion leaders,” explains Enrico Zanini, Director of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna.

In 2015, the United States were the number one destination of Italian cosmetics export outside Europe - after France and Germany - with a growth rate of +31.2% compared to the previous year, for a value equal to 326 million euros.
