The Lisses plant of the Soupletube Group, the third European manufacturer of flexible plastic and laminate tubes, was awarded in November 2012 the "Essonne CCI Environmental Prize 2012" issued by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Essonne, in partnership with the Conseil Général, to enhance corporate commitment to sustainability.

This Prize for the "Industrial Waste Category" rewards the plan of reduction and recycling of industrial waste generated by the factory that manufactures laminated tubes:

Use of new solvent-free and reusable inks
New technologies to automate machine adjustment in order to reduce waste by 5%
Installation of a tube shredder to reduce to powder the defective tubes and recycle 100% of waste production
Sort and recycling of all plant industrial wastes by specialized companies

On this occasion, François Beaugrand, President of Soupletube, said: "I am very pleased with this Prize which rewards the efforts of Soupletube Group plants to reduce their impact on the environment and respect the commitments of our Soupletube Eco-Responsibility Charter 2011 – 2013."
