For its ninth edition, the Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) annual trade event, held from 1-3 March 2016 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre, broke all previous records to welcome 15,292 unique visitors growing by 64.57% compared to the previous year (9,292).

PCHi 2016’s visitor count has also grown by 86.73% since the last Shanghai-held event in 2014 that hosted 8,189 visitors. “Nearly a decade on, PCHi continues to chart steady growth in visitor and exhibitor numbers each year, emphasising the event’s increasing importance in the eyes of industry professionals,” said Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, the company organising the event.

This edition, a total of 442 exhibitors from 27 countries presented their latest innovations and products to the industry, of which, 97 were first time participants at the show.

One of the new elements introduced at PCHi 2016 was the Fragrance@PCHi zone, which was launched to present leading Natural Oils & Fragrance products from around the world.

The PCHi 2016 Conference Programme offered 107 educative seminars under 16 conference themes, including Skin Care, Cosmetics Marketing, and Social Media discussions. Featuring 123 speakers, the programme attracted a total of 2,333 industry professionals in attendance.

As the industry continues to reinvent itself each year, PCHi strives to be one step ahead to provide for the international cosmetics and personal care community at large. PCHi 2016 recorded an increase of 15.36% in international visitors, demonstrating the show’s growing importance to the global industry. PCHi 2017 will be held from 21-23 February 2017 at the Guangzhou Poly World Trade Centre in Guangzhou, China.
