For the coffrets of its two mythical fragrances, Alien and Angel, Mugler entrusted Cosfibel Premium and opted for the Ultralight concept, a light yet solid premium card patented by the supplier.

These two creations are conceived based on the same model:

A hinged structure whose sharp angles are achieved using a specific technique for cutting the card.
A cover inside which a pop-up décor is revealed, telling a story in three dimensions.
A strong container that holds five products.

Given the weight and volume of this coffret, Mugler chose the Ultralight concept for its multiple benefits: its solidity, its light weight, its cost-effectiveness in terms of materials and its eco-responsible approach,” says Cosbibel Premium.

The creation of such sophisticated products required the implementation of a particularly demanding manual assembly process.

The coffrets are covered with fine paper printed in the color of each of the fragrances. The inner and outer surfaces are printed using rotogravure and embossed to create the pearly effect. They are opened thanks to an APET hinge covered with paper. Internal ledges inside both base and cover ensurs the closure, while a ribbon holds the lid open. The names of each line are printed on the lid of the coffrets using black or gold hot stamping. Inside the four color-printed lid made of coated paper, the décor is created using laser-cut polyester card that is glued onto EVA foam in order to create depth.

The Angel coffret’s pale blue color highlights silver polyester wheels and four color-printed candy that stand out from the background, playing with the shadow and light of the materials. In the background, the line’s logo is hot-stamped and signs this décor. A black flocked PS chock holds the products in place.

Built along the same principles, the deep purple Alien coffret, however, has a subtle technical difference: the inside of the lid, covered in silver polyester, is crimped all over with mysterious cuneiform script. Inside the base, a transparent thermoformed APET chock is hidden behind a silver cover printed in gold, adding a touch of light.
