The 14th edition of the tradeshow dedicated to creative and high-end packaging welcomed 3,768 visitors (a 4.66% increase from the 3,600 visitors in 2015). Held at Pier 92 on 11-12 May 2016, Luxe Pack New York hosted 240 exhibitors, compared to 220 during the previous edition, including 50 per cent North American companies, 40 per cent European and 10 per cent Asian and a handful of South American ones.

The show enabled several companies to showcase their latest innovations. Cosmogen, for instance, introduced a new generation of Attract One, its patented applicator combining a magnet and a metal ball, which was adapted on a tube with a valve. Reboul, a French manufacturer of metal components and packaging for the cosmetics industry, a new lipstick mechanism and a new coating process on aluminium.

For its part, the cardboard manufacturer Stora Enso has taken advantage of the show to present the winners of its design competition Recreate Packaging 2016, which was focused on making the most of the tactile properties of paperboard in luxury packaging.
