Following the announcement released in October 2013, L’Oréal and Shiseido have finalised the contracts for the acquisition by L’Oréal of Decléor and Carita.

Shiseido intends to focus its Professional Division on both its Shiseido Professional brand, which is growing significantly in Asia, and its Joico brand, which is expanding in the US and Europe, to make the most of its strength in the hair business area.

Carita has been distributed in 56 countries and Decléor 80 countries and their aggregate sales were approximately 100 million euros in 2013.

Closing will be effective pending remaining approvals from regulatory authorities,” adds L’Oréal.
