Paris-based Interparfums (Montblanc, Jimmy Choo, Karl Lagerfeld, Boucheron, Van Cleef & Arpels, Repetto, Paul Smith, S.T. Dupont, Balmain, Lanvin, Rochas) will develop the next fragrances of leather goods maker Coach, which was established in New York in 1941. Both companies announced yesterday that they have entered into an 11-year exclusive worldwide fragrance license agreement.

The first perfumes and fragrance-related products derived from this collaboration should hit store shelves in fall 2016. These fragrances will be distributed in department and specialty stores and duty free shops, as well as in Coach retail stores.

Coach has already launched fragrances in partnership with Estée Lauder, most notably Signature and Poppy, the brand’s well-established top selling scents. Through this partnership with Interparfums, the leather goods maker intends to take its portfolio “to a larger audience”, according to Philippe Benacin, Chief Executive Officer of the French group. “With our distribution network, we have a great opportunity to build upon the success already seen with Coach fragrance by expanding the distribution globally and by capitalizing on the growing recognition of the brand in international markets,” he added.
