The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has agreed for further extension of implementation of Gazette Notification No. GSR 426(E) Dated 19th May 2010, which requires all cosmetic products imported into India to be registered.
The Ministry consequently issued a new Gazette Notification (here below) postponing the entry into force of the compulsory registration to the 31st of March 2013.
Initially scheduled to start on the 1st of April 2011, the compulsory registration of cosmetic products as been regularly postponed since then.
