Created in Switzerland in 1919 in the wake of World War I when chemical raw materials had become very difficult and expensive to procure, IMPAG has grown into a leading distributor and service provider of raw materials in Europe. Headquartered in Zurich, the company’s focus is on the segments of chemicals, nutrition & health, personal care and pharmaceuticals, with subsidiaries in Germany, France, Poland and Austria.

According to Remo Bernardi, IMPAG’s CEO, reliable, fair and open partnerships with suppliers, as well as an organisation allowing much leeway and flexibility are at the base of the group success. “Our culture lives from the entrepreneurship of our employees, their implementation of ideas and visions, their exemplary respect for the corporate values and, at the same time, their clear assertion of their expectations,” he said. “Building a strong foundation for itself with its own companies in Europe has given IMPAG strength and agility. The teams of all the national companies maintain close communication, make use of synergies and benefit mutually from the existing know-how.

Throughout the entire year, IMPAG will be celebrating the past 100 years with all kinds of events that will be looking back, but even more importantly looking forward into a future that the company forecasts as “dynamic and digital”.

The year 2019 will also mark the tenth anniversary of IMPAG France.
