FCE Cosmetique and FCE Pharma, which took place on 23-25 May 2017 at São Paulo Expo recorded an unprecedented level of attendance, receiving 15,400 visitors, a growth of 9% compared to previous year.

At the opening ceremony, Geraldo Alckmin, Governor of the São Paulo State, highlighted the efforts of the Government for the development of the industry. “We have already lowered the Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) on cosmetic products from 25% to 18%; as for drugs, we decrease it from 18% to 12%, and for a portion of the most urgent drugs, we decreased the rate to 7%,” he said.

João Paulo Picolo, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse Brazil, the company organising the events, considers that “FCE Cosmetique and FCE Pharma registered excellent indices and showed all their strength in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical segment. We are very happy to deliver events of this magnitude, and we will keep on tirelessly working in assisting in the development of these industries.

In partnership with different companies (Firmenich, Wheaton, ...), design agency Centdegrés presented an innovative olfactory discovery area named “Optimism”.

Both FCE Cosmetique and FCE Pharma are already scheduled in 2018: from May 22 to 24, at the São Paulo Expo.
