Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) recently adopted Resolution RDC No. 15 of April 24, 2015. Published in the Official Gazette of April 27, 2015, the new regulation establishes the technical requirements related to the formulation, safety and labelling of cosmetics and perfumes intended for children’s use.

Children are defined as individuals of 0 to 12 years of age.

The Resolution entered into force on the date of its publication, however, products that were manufactured before the publication can be marketed until the end of their date of validity.
