With only a few days to go before the start of the World Cup in Brazil, the perfume maker has presented a new scent inspired by the land of samba and soccer.

More than an eau de toilette, L’Artisan Parfumeur’s Batucada - named for a sub-genre of samba - is an ode to Brazilian
culture.

To develop this new fragrance, the brand called upon two renowned noses: Karine Vinchon in Grasse, France and Elisabeth Maier in São Paulo. Together, the two perfume artists concocted an eau de toilette evoking the percussive rhythms of samba music and the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana.

Batucada is characterized by a trio of lime, mint and cachaça - the main ingredients of the caïpirinha, a distinctively Brazilian cocktail. This fresh accord is accented by notes of tiaré flowers and ylang-ylang.

The eau de toilette is available now from L’Artisan Parfumeur retailers.
