Founded 40 years ago by the Warschau family, the HC Parfümerie Group has established itself as a major retailer in Germany with a network of 80 shops and 7 franchises. These sales outlets are mainly located in city centres in the north of the country (Werder, Schwalmstadt, Gießen, Bremen, Wolfsburg, etc.). To date, the company employs more than 400 people and achieved a turnover of more than EUR 30 million in fiscal year 2015, with a positive profitability from its recurring operations.

The merger of these two players should enable Bogart to strengthen its position as a European retailer, to accelerate its growth on foreign markets and to double the number of its beauty retail shops (73 in 2015). "This strategy provides a significant leverage for all the Group’s brands," the company pointed out in a statement.

Jacques Bogart intends to rely on HC Parfümerie’s experienced teams to further develop the company. Mr Henrik Warschau, the German group’s current Managing Director, has committed to steering the development of the 80 stores over the next 15 months.
