Albéa just announced the opening of its new facility in Suzhou, near Shanghai (China). To date, it is the only Albéa facility to house the complete scope of the group’s core expertise: tubes, cosmetic rigid packaging (mascaras, lipgloss, compacts, bottles) and dispensing systems - each in a dedicated building. The site was designed to offer faster speed to market, flexibility and supply chain efficiency.

The new 30,000 m² facility represents an investment of US$ 14 Million. It was built to a challenging 15-month schedule to optimize Albéa’s industrial footprint in China following its acquisition of Rexam Personal Care in January 2013. It currently hosts 800 employees.

Suzhou is Albéa’s centre of excellence for mascara packaging (including brushes) and dispensing systems in China. Albéa’s footprint in China includes four other facilities (in Zhongshan, Shenzhen and Shanghai), each a centre of excellence for a particular packaging, as well as two sales offices.
