The 54th edition of the “Oscar dell’Imballaggio” took place on thursday the 14th of April, during the Design Week of Milan. This year the event, organized by the Italian Institute of Packaging in collaboration with Politecnico University of Milan - Faculty of Design and with the patronage of CONAI, IULM and Ipack-Ima, chose to award “Quality Design” defined as the balance between the graphic design, the structural shapes and the innovative features of packaging.

The Jury, made of packaging and design experts has selected a winner for each packaging category between the 25 nominated products.

It is Lumson’s TAG System who won the “Oscar dell’Imballaggio 2011: Quality Design”. TAG which stands for Techno Airless Glass System is the first and only Airless System with a Glass bottle. A standard cosmetic packaging entirely designed, developed and manufactured by Lumson in its Capergnanica facilities, near Crema, Italy.

The winning pack was customized and decorated by Lumson for its client Arval. The Oscar was presented by the President of the Italian Institute of Packaging Mr. Angelo Edoardo Gerosa to Matteo Moretti, Chief Operational Officer, Lumson, and to Gloria Caldana, Marketing Manager, Arval.

This is an important award of which the company is very proud of. It’s the result of more than 4 years of work and investments in the research and development field.
