Sofadis, the French subsidiary of OekaMetall - the German company specializing in the production of mascara, lipgloss and lipstick tubes - changed its name to OekaFrance.

"Through this new name, OekaMetall wants to expand its presence in France and better address the needs of increasingly demanding customers in the cosmetics sector. To achieve this goal, OekaBeauty reinforces the synergy between the German team and the French team and increases its technical and commercial support to the latter,” the company said in a statement.

Change in the one hand, continuity in the other, since the group also states that besides its "makeup packaging" business OekaFrance will continue to distribute Karla Rene Innovations’ bulb atomizers, Cinqpats’ airless pocket- bottles and Capsulit’s pharmaceutical capsules.

Furthermore, the current team, consisting of Daniele Bernasconi and Pascale Belin, remains in place. The company, however, announced the departure of Marie-Agnès Gigon, who will retire from business in late September, after 12 years at the head of Sofadis.
