"New proportions", explains Lucie Ray, Industrial Marketing Manager, "have come in addition in order to enrich our high-end collection of bottles and jars carefully playing on details like sharps edges, heavy weighing glass and beautiful distributions which will find their place in our customers higher end and selective lines ".

Premium Beauty News - Is it a new strategy you have developed in order to increase your presence in this segment of high-end standard bottles?

Lucie Ray - First of all, we prefer using the term "customizable bottles" to the term "standard bottles". We have already been offering customizable bottles for some time now, but we want to keep on improving our ranges in this area that we believe in line with the market.

It’s a question of offering new sizes and new proportions based on our most popular generic forms allowing a fragrance or cosmetic usage of these ranges, depending of the selected universe, by offering our customers the Pochet quality, with a level of requirement identical to the one involved for our specific designs. Each brand operating whether, in the perfume, care or make-up industry can find what it’s looking for and add its personal touch and creativity to it.

What we are also putting forward, aside from the financial benefit of choosing such ranges because of the economy related to tooling costs, is also and above all the saving of time it represents since all products are immediately available, against three to six months development required for a specific bottle, this may well be a strategic move considering the current environment. It is also a guarantee of flexibility since our bottles offer many different shapes (cylindrical, square, rectangular), which can be combined together and also because the minimum quantities to be supplied are well below those of a specific bottle.

Then, customization with many possible finishing techniques available in-house, make it possible to completely customize bottles and jars to create "the family spirit" between the different chosen models. These product lines are anything but standards: they are high end bottles extremely versatile since they were designed to meet our customers ideas; we can engrave them, decorate them, give them a new collar, produce them using a stained glass, make them heavier…

Premium Beauty News - Precisely, let’s talk about finishing techniques. For your bottles, you have been proposing the "Speed Picture" for several months,. Are there already some applications available?

Lucie Ray - Yes, indeed it is important to say a few words about this technique. It is a printing process that can reproduce full-colour visuals like photos or graphics using a variety of colours and shades. It also allows printing extremely fine patterns with great precision in the achievement and placement of decorations, also offering texture effects. This technique, which can be combined to specific lacquering and other decorations processes, allows broad prospects in terms of customization.

Premium Beauty News - You also offer spray gun metalizing.

Lucie Ray - Exactly! It is a process developed in partnership with the company JetMétal offering all possibilities of metallization, in terms of colours (gold, silver, gunmetal, but also all the rainbow colours through an additional layer), gradients, and great flexibility in terms of volumes. But we also offer a series of new finishes with different looks (cracked varnish imitating leather or other materials, interference varnishes...). and always more efficient applications and precise silk-screening (contouring, complex silk-screening...). Furthermore, we have greatly enriched our offering and our expertise in terms of pasting, and assembling, both operationally but also regarding technical development, in particular thanks to our close relationship with Qualipac (a subsidiary of Pochet) and our knowledge which is growing more and more everyday in this area ( Diesel Only the Brave, Boss Element…).
