New encapsulation complex

On the occasion of MakeUp in Paris, BCM introduced a new encapsulation complex with hydrating properties, the PolyOzOme, combined with a silicone elastomer in a Blush "Caresse Acidulée" for a better holding power of the make-up, a velvety feel and a transparent shade. The "Oh Dace Color", with strong and flashy colours, with five other complexion products, "Oscillation" (a foundation with a gel texture for an improved gliding effect), a sublimating silky foam, and three other blushes, "Pulpy Vitamin", "Cheek Sorbet" (water formulated) and "Shaker Blush". For the eyes, a densifying and nourishing mascara for the eyelashes, a vintage cake eyeliner that is worked with a brush, as a liner or an eyeshadow for smoky eyes, "Aqua Eyes", a liquid and pearlescent eyeshadow. Two products, more playful, complement the line: "Babe Kiss Tagada" for teenagers and "Gloss Complice", a almost-liquid lipstick.

"Biorganic", BCM’s second featured collection, consists of six products: Air Blush, an airy texture in a airless bottle, Ombre Polaire, a water formulated stick (also available in other categories), Bio Eyes, a eyeshadow cream highly charged with pigments with a fresh feel, Bio Lips, a moisturising colored and refreshing balm, Bio Creamy Light Foundation, with a moisturising and covering power, that can be applied using a finger.

The 2011 trend catalogue is complemented by Precious Desire, which includes Cashmere Compact a powdery, satin foundation also PolyOzOme based, Golden Blush and Haute Couture Lipstick.

A line of brushes

The company Pennelifaro is launching on the French market its Kubo Beauty line, a concept of professional brushes for make-up artists or consumers who want to buy them by the unit and whose delivery is guaranteed within 24hrs on the whole territory. This line is also intended for distributors for whom a specific POS was developed. It can include from six to over a hundred references. The company, very much committed towards sustainable development, a humanistic management and a tailor-made service, also unveiled a line of brushes for sensitive skins and a completely flat brush which is intended for applying make-up while virtually retaining no product at all.

To note that the specificity of the Pennelifaro brushes lies in their assembly: worked from the base, they are not cut with scissors and the flag part of the bristles remains intact, imparting them with a very soft skin feel and a true density.

Two global launches at Arcade

Traditionally specialized in perfume sampling, Arcade Europe has showcased several novelties specifically developed for the make-up and skincare industry. MakeUp in Paris visitors were able to discover two worldwide launches :

 Powdasilk is designed as a portable mini-powder puff, featuring upon opening the - already impregnated - applicator on one side and on the other side, the powder which enables to re-impregnate the applicator as many times as required to achieve a complete make-up.

 ClearAdvantage can be positioned directly on the advertising medium and being a transparent clear re-sealable label, it merges with it. It is designed for magazines, direct sell and direct mail. BeautiPod, intended for skincare or make-up products, is a sachet which is heat-sealed on a paper medium, thus irremovable. The opening is performed by tearing off the upper part of the paper medium, the flow being controlled by a very narrow opening. It can be used in press media or through direct marketing.

Two more technologies which were already marketed in the U.S., are now also being launched in France. Beautiseal Stand-Alone for foundations and lipsticks for which was conceived a dispensing sampler to affix within the brand’s POS, Beautiseal multicavity to carry up to 12 different shades (a whole version of a chart for example).

Eight beauty themes

The Italian company B. Kolormakeup & Skincare has developed eight beauty and lifestyle themes for 2012. Among which, "Cycle & Recycle" that highlights sustainability and bio, "Liquid and Ice" that gives added-value to brand’s innovative formulas, new emulsions and suspensions as well as to new pigments and pearls, 3D&HD, to combine the application effects of a product (a matte base with a glowing and shiny surface for example) and highlight both the accuracy of formulas and applicators including packaging which actually is a matter for high definition.

Note, in short, the Pascual company who announced new investment and technical developments, including a new machine to produce transparent lipstick.

At Vetronaviglio, the Cristal line (the best selling line of the company) has seen the addition of two new 15 and 30ml bottles and new wooden accessories were also launched, in particular for caps and closures.

"For every day and for all the day" is the promise of Gotha’s "24/7" line, a comprehensive range for the complexion (powder and foundation), eyes and lips (lipstick and gloss) with nourishing and long wear properties. All products are formulated without parabens and alcohol.
