Tokyo-headquartered cosmetics maker, Kao Corporation will build a new manufacturing facility at Hefei City, the capital China’s Anhui Province.
The 125,000 square meters site chosen for building the new plant is located within the compound of the National Hefei Economic and Technological Development Area in Hefei.
Scheduled for operational startup in 2012, the plant will be Kao’s second facility in China for manufacturing consumer products. The initial investment is estimated at several billion yen, and production capacity will be gradually expanded in accordance with demand.
Actually,Kao’s aim is to reinforce its production base in China, adding capacity to go along with its current plant in Shanghai.
