HCP, a leading designer and manufacturer of packaging for the cosmetics, toiletries, skin care and fragrance industries, has acquired some the assets coming from Risdon’s former production plant in Mexico (assembly machines, quality equipment, spare parts, etc.) and has also confirmed its intention to increase by 5000 m² the production area of its plant located in the Industrial Park, Villa Florida, in Reynosa.

The firm of Chinese origin, which has forecast this year a double-digit growth of nearly 18%, wants to focus more specifically on surface treatment with the installations of UV coating and metallization units.

"This increase in our capacities is important, explains Jeff Chen, CEO, because it proves our renewed commitment to expand our scope of activity in all our factories to offer the most comprehensive range in terms of packaging to the global cosmetic sector, particularly in Mexico."

Thus the Mexican unit is or will be able to provide both make-up cases, mascaras, lip gloss, and very shortly lipstick tubes.
