The third edition of Esxence The Scent of Excellence, the international event dedicated to “Artistic Perfumery”, will take place at Palazzo della Permanente in Milan from the 31st of March to the 3rd of April 2011.
“The evolution in the distribution of niche perfumes and the dimension which this can reach worldwide represent an extremely interesting challenge and a great opportunity for a selected number of retailers,” explain the organisers.
There are about 350 retail shops in Italy specializing in niche perfumes, which is probably the highest number in Europe, in particular compared to Germany and France where the distribution is much more concentrated. The so-called Artistic Perfumery sector generated EUR120 million sales in Italy in 2010, i.e. 1.3% of the total beauty business and 5.3% of the perfumery sector.
Exhibitors are selected by a Technical Committee with the aim to ensure “the high level of quality and prestige that characterize the event.”
Workshops and olfactory animations organised with partners such as the International Conservatory of Perfumes Osmothèque de Versailles, Mouillettes&Co, or Extrait.it will also be proposed to visitors.
