The Oil Technologists’ Association of India (OTAI) is expecting about 1000 delegates from 30 nations to attend the second Regional Conference on Soaps, Detergents and Cosmetics that will be held Kala Academy, in Goa, India, from October 12-15, 2008.

The conference will address changing dynamics of soaps, detergents and cosmetics industries in Asia, related opportunities and challenges. The theme of this second edition is: “Sustainable growth with responsive care”. Participants will debate the use of natural resources and vegetal ingredients as well as emerging technologies, environmental and regulatory issues.

Organised with the support of the American Oil Chemists’ Society, the ASEAN Oleochemical Manufacturers Group, the Indian Soaps & Toiletries Makers’ Association, the Japan Soap & Detergent Association, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board and the US Soap & Detergent Association, this second edition is reflecting the growing importance of the Indian market in the region and globally.
