Korea’s cosmetics giant Amore Pacific is the new owner of Annick Goutal perfumes. The French brand was sold by U.S. investment fund Starwood Capital, which had acquired it in 2005.

This is the first international acquisition of the Korean group, which nevertheless suggests that its development strategy could lead it to make further purchases in the future. Through this acquisition, the group, which markets skin care brand Laneige in nearly ten countries, mainly in Asia, is strengthening its portfolio of luxury brands.

While Amore Pacific is already the licensee for Lempika Lolita fragrances, the acquisition of Annick Goutal perfumes provides the group with full ownership of a brand with a high international reputation, particularly in Europe and North America, already distributed in about 1,300 points sales worldwide, and with a potential for development in Asian markets.
