Premium Beauty News - A customer base essentially originating from the Cosmetic sector?

Michael Warford - ABA Packaging Corp. was founded in 1984 primarily as a fine fragrance glass provider which is still a large part of our business. We have since expanded into other packaging markets including color cosmetics, treatment products, personal care products, and spa line products to increase our value with existing customers and to attract new ones.

Premium Beauty News - What are the prospects like?

Michael Warford - With main offices and a warehouse in Holtsville, New York, and a satellite office in Los Angeles, California, ABA Packaging Corp. is excited about the opportunity to grow in 2011. Our recent partnerships with some great new suppliers are already yielding positive results as we have recently been awarded new business from a number of large cosmetics companies whom we did not have current business with previously.

Michael Warford - ABA Packaging Corp. works with small upstart customers as well as the largest companies in the cosmetics, fragrance, spa, and personal care markets. We strive to provide the very best selection of components and the best service and support. We go to great ends to qualify our suppliers and we look for the best-of-the-best globally to achieve this goal. Our current focus is to expand our lines of products by creating global partnerships with great innovative manufacturers to enable us to better support existing customers and to make ABA Packaging Corp. more attractive to new customers.

Premium Beauty News - What are the next developments to come?

Michael Warford - We recently introduced a line of wood cap and jar products manufactured by a PEFC certified source in Europe, and a line of PET bottles and jars, tubes, and pumps from a high volume, high quality manufacturer headquartered in Taiwan.

We are now working to upgrade our airless packaging offerings to include some innovative eco-friendly options.

OEKAmetall brushes

Premium Beauty News - Your presence at Make Up in New York along with OEKAbeauty is a proof of your interest for the make-up segment. Is OEKAbeauty the only company with whom you are partnering in this area?

Michael Warford - One of our most recent supplier partnerships was with OEKAmetall of Bamberg, Germany, to represent their great OEKAbeauty lines of mascara, lip-gloss, and lipstick packages in North America. They have set the bar high with regard to offering high quality and innovative products along with service and support that is second to none. We are honored to represent this great line of products and it is the only company that we are currently partnering with in the make-up segment at this time.

We look forward to creating additional partnerships for other kinds of primary packaging products in the color cosmetics market segment using a similar business model.
