Jean-Marc Giroux

The Board of Directors of Cosmed, the association of French SMEs in the cosmetics industry, has recently elected its new president. It is Jean Marc Giroux who taking after André Jean Brin, co-founder of the association and who was the President since its creation. André Jean Brin, who resigned for personal reasons, remains member of the board.

A doctor of pharmacy and expert toxicologist since 1981, Jean Marc Giroux is 55 years. In 1984 he founded the company Eliac, a service provider in regulatory affairs and phase I clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry. Following the sale of the company in 1989, he joined the Johnson & Johnson group in Paris, where he is appointed R&D and Business Development Director (OTC products-division JP Martin).

It is in 1993 that he stepped in the world of cosmetics, as R&D Director of the group Bioderma-Dipti-Esthederm. A group for which he will also be the Scientific and Economic Director in 2009.

Author of numerous conferences on marketing innovation, communication and strategic analysis applied to health companies, Jean Marc Giroux is currently a consultant for nutraceutical and cosmetic companies. He was Vice President of Cosmed since December 2010.
