The 25th European Dermocosmetology Days will take place on February 3 and 4, 2011 in Lyon. Organised by the European Centre of Dermocosmetology (C.E.D.), these two days will have “Cell activation and stem cells in dermocosmetology” as their main theme. One again, this biennial event will gather researchers, scientists, students and industrials from the whole cosmetics industry.
“On the occasion of this conference high level scientists will set out the latest scientific works of French, and also Japanese, public and private laboratories on stem cells and their possible application in cosmetology,” says Dominique Bouvier, president of the C.E.D.
This scientific congress is organized by the C.E.D. (European Centre of Dermocosmetology), a French association founded in 1962 by to university scholars - professors Henri Thiers, a dermatologist, and Jean Cotte, a pharmacist - and by the industrialist Marcel Gattefossé, whose goals is to promote scientific and academic cosmetology and to favour exchanges between industrialists and scientific researchers.
The 2011 edition of the congress will be held in parallel with the celebration of the year of chemistry in Lyon. At the same time, the C.E.D. will support the exhibition “Lèvres de Luxe” (Luxury Lips) held from February 3 to 24, 2011 at the Musee des Tissus in Lyon.
